This site is established and maintained in memory of my son, Calvin Paul, who died of acute heart failure at age 13 on June 27, 1996. He is deeply missed by his adoptive family, his birth family, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, but we grieve with hope because we believe the words of Jesus Christ, recorded in the Bible, in which He tells us,
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may also be where Iam.
You know the way to the place where I am going." John 14:1-4
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not persh but have eternal life." John 3:16
God was a bereaved father. He understands. He wants to give you living hope beyond your grief through His Son, Jesus Christ, who said,
"Because I live, you also will live." John 14:19
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27
Let your broken heart find living hope in these words...
"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep...for as in Adam all die, so in Christ will all be made alive.... The last enemy to be destroyed is death. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body...
'Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?'
Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
From II Corinthians 14 and 15
"...so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words."
I Thessalonians 4:17-18
